Veriport has completed the GRI Licensing Software & Tools Program verification process and is recognised as a GRI Licensed Software & Tools Partner.
This means the GRI Standards have been accurately incorporated into the Veriport platform, verified by GRI analysts against best practice principles and GRI's own intellectual property standards.
How Veriport incorporates the GRI Standards
Veriport's integration of the GRI Standards goes beyond standard-level mapping. The full suite of GRI Standards - including all disclosures within each standard - has been mapped into the Veriport ESG Framework at the level of individual pillars, themes, topics and subtopics.
Where GRI Standards publish quantitative or confirmatory metrics, these have been extracted and placed at the most appropriate location within the framework.
This level of detail is carried through into four distinct areas of platform functionality:
Disclosure guidance
Users can access GRI disclosure guidance directly within the platform. In the metrics environment, guidance is available by clicking on any mapped metric name. In the narrative drafting environment, applicable GRI disclosure guidance is displayed above the narrative input field, making it accessible at the point of use.
Narrative reporting
Users can compile narrative disclosures in two ways. The first is by topic, where a Veriport topic may be associated with one or more GRI disclosures; guidance for each linked disclosure is accessible while drafting. The second is by disclosure, where a user can respond directly to a specific GRI disclosure (for example, GRI 2-7) using the guidance provided for that disclosure. Direct disclosure responses can be exported as a standalone document, which is useful both as a precise record of disclosures and as a working document for corporate report writers.
GRI content index
Veriport includes a content index feature that allows users to compile a GRI content index based on the extent to which they have satisfied the applicable disclosures. This supports both reporting "with reference to" the GRI Standards and reporting "in accordance with" the GRI Standards.
Metrics and narrative integration
Users can assign GRI metrics to data collection points across their organisation and select which metrics are integrated into narrative reporting sections, either as tables or as KPI performance graphs where configured.
Reporting "with reference to" and "in accordance with"
the GRI Standards
Organisations using Veriport and completing the recommended onboarding process will be positioned to report with reference to the GRI Standards. With appropriate use of the platform and support from the Veriport team, reporting in accordance with the GRI Standards is achievable.
The platform is designed to support an in accordance with claim; however, the determination and approval of that claim remains with the reporting organisation, not the software.

AI-assisted disclosure drafting
Veriport is developing an AI assistant that will help users compile narrative disclosures by drawing on GRI disclosure guidance and data already entered in the platform.
This feature is planned for release by the end of July 2026. It was not part of the GRI verification process and does not form part of Veriport's licensed status. It will be subject to its own quality controls, including a requirement for users to review and verify any AI-generated content before saving or publishing.
